Since Wag Tail opened in September 2004, staff and parents have been delighted with the progress, facilities and increasing popularity of the nursery. Wag Tail provides a safe and stimulating environment, offering affordable, quality play opportunities, for children in the age range 2-5 years. The nursery participates in the Nursery Education Grant scheme which provides free childcare for children over 3 years of age.

Set on a 128 acre farm in the peaceful Sussex countryside, our setting is attractive with spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments. It is important to us that your child has fun, feels secure, and is able to develop their skills, understanding, independence and relationships with other children and adults.

The atmosphere is friendly and informal with staff and helpers providing sensitive childcare to enable children to develop a positive sense of self worth and identity.


Wag Tail is staffed by a team committed to on-going relevant training; all senior staff are highly qualified and experienced in childcare.


Wag Tail is open for 49 weeks of the year and we offer a range of sessions to provide the flexibility of care required by parents and their children. Children may attend:

Other hours may be available, please contact the Manager to discuss your needs. We will provide breakfast, snacks and high tea and the children will be given the opportunity to be involved in their preparation. A two course, hot lunch is available for a small charge.
Dietary requirements can be catered for. Alternatively, parents may provide a packed lunch for children who are present at lunchtime.
